These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including bespoke quartet hire, themed afternoon tea events, corporate entertainment solutions, private party music provision, and venue sourcing & coordination. 1. Service Agreement and Engagement
All services offered by The Mayfair Melodies are subject to availability and formal agreement. A binding agreement for services commences upon confirmation of your booking, which may include a signed contract or a confirmed payment of a deposit, as specified in your individual service proposal.
- Proposals: All service proposals provided by The Mayfair Melodies are valid for a specified period, as indicated in the proposal.
- Booking Confirmation: Confirmation of a booking requires acceptance of the proposal and typically involves an initial deposit or full payment, depending on the service and booking lead time.
2. Payments and Fees
Payment terms will be outlined in your specific service agreement. Generally, a deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due prior to the event date or upon completion of services, as agreed.
- Deposit: Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in your specific contract or in cases of force majeure.
- Late Payments: The Mayfair Melodies reserves the right to charge interest on overdue payments as per statutory regulations.
- Additional Costs: Any agreed-upon additional services or changes requested after booking confirmation may incur further charges.
3. Cancellations and Postponements
Cancellation policies vary depending on the service and lead time. Specific cancellation terms will be detailed in your service agreement.
- Client Initiated Cancellation: Cancellations made by the client may result in forfeiture of the deposit and/or a cancellation fee, depending on the notice period provided.
- Postponement: Requests for postponement will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the availability of our performers and resources. Additional fees may apply.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this agreement where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, or governmental restrictions.
4. Client Responsibilities
To ensure the successful delivery of our services, clients are responsible for:
- Providing clear and timely instructions and information regarding the event and service requirements.
- Ensuring the venue is suitable and safe for our performers and equipment, including adequate space, power supply, and shelter from adverse weather where applicable.
- Obtaining any necessary licenses or permissions for live music or events at their chosen venue.
- Treating our performers and staff with respect. Any abusive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the immediate termination of services without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights associated with The Mayfair Melodies' brand, music arrangements, and promotional materials remain the property of The Mayfair Melodies. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Mayfair Melodies strives to provide exceptional services. However, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Our liability for any direct loss or damage, regardless of the cause, will not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8. Amendments to Terms
The Mayfair Melodies reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our platform or provided upon request. Continued engagement with our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
